Ideal for more experienced Lightroom users or as a follow-on from my Lightroom Skills course. Bring yourself up to date with the latest changes in Lightroom. Delivered in four parts with a 15 minute comfort break morning and afternoon and a 45 minute lunch break.

 

Looking much deeper into Lightroom's organising, editing and output facilities. You will have the time to learn as part of a small, interactive group (maximum 8). You will receive a video of the sessions and a significant discount for a professional printed workbook covering this material and more.

Part 1: 10am

Learn to move and manage your Lightroom system. Use two or more computers with a single LR catalogue. Fix missing folders and photos.

 

  • Learn how to move your images and folders within Lightroom

  • Discover how to move your images to an external disk

  • Understand different ways to work with Lightroom across two or more computers

  • Fix issues with missing folders and images

  • Understand smart previews and when best to use them

  • Learn how to change previews and create DNG's after import

 

Part 2:

Metadata and Lightroom Mobile

 

  • Metadata: Modifying, storing and issues with synchronising

  • Deleting images from Collections and Smart Collections

  • The power of the Target Collection and Quick Collection

  • All about Lightroom Mobile and Lightroom Classic

  • How to work with the Adobe Cloud and your devices

  • Where are your master images

  • Deleting images from devices and Classic

Lunch 13:15 We will have a 45 minute break for lunch

Deeper Global Editing

 

  • Assessing image balance

  • Using B&W mode to edit colour images

  • Camera matching Profiles pros & cons

  • Making subtle adjustments and extending panels

  • Editing using Reference mode

  • Lens correction nuances and uses

  • Amazing transforms

  • Three different Toning methods

 

Part 4:

Detailed Local Editing & Finishing

 

  • Healing and Cloning master class

  • Gradients aren’t just for the sky

  • Showing the mask in different ways

  • Radial filter special features and examples

  • Adjustment brush features and issues

  • Luminosity masking

  • Sharpening and Noise

  • Soft proofing

Pre-requisites:

  • You must have Lightroom Classic installed on a desktop or laptop computer

  • This workshop is aimed at those already using Lightroom, it is not intended for complete beginners.

  • This workshop does not cover Lightroom on the iPad or phone

  • An internet connection suitable for the zoom sessions
